Susan is a Managing Director at Lazear, where she helps clients achieve their ownership transition goals through thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and hands-on execution. Whether articulating the case for value in a sale, securing long-term financing, or managing a combination of both, she works closely with clients throughout every stage of a transaction to ensure their objectives remain front and center.

Before joining Lazear, Susan spent 15 years in commercial banking with Bank of America and National City Bank. Throughout her career, she gained experience structuring and underwriting solutions for a wide range of businesses—from catfish farms to global retailers, and from sole proprietorships to publicly traded corporations—spanning both small commercial and large corporate markets.

A Columbus native, Susan earned her B.A. in International Business Management and Spanish from Marietta College.

If you had to pick three words that best represent Lazear’s culture, what would they be, and why?  

Collaborative – Sharing ideas and best practices just comes naturally to our team.  Sure, it feels good to achieve a goal as an individual, but it also feels good to know that our individual experiences can create a better outcome for the team as a whole when we collaborate and support each other.
