Joey is an Associate with Lazear, supporting M&A and ESOP engagements. He helps business owners navigate the financial and technical aspects of ownership transitions to achieve successful outcomes.

Before joining Lazear, Joey was a Senior in the assurance practice at Ernst & Young, leading external audits for Fortune 500 companies, mid-market private firms, and employee benefit plans, primarily in advanced manufacturing and healthcare navigation. His experience includes SEC filings, mergers and acquisitions, and a range of technical accounting matters.

Joey earned his BSBA in Accounting, cum laude, and a Master of Accounting from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Ohio.
