Tyler Kennedy is a Director at Lazear Capital Partners focusing on financial analysis and ESOP transaction structuring for middle market clients. Tyler enjoys getting to know his clients and their businesses so that he can identify solutions that meet their personal and professional goals.
Prior to joining Lazear Capital Partners, Tyler served as a Senior Manager in EY’s Strategy & Transactions practice, where he focused primarily on sell-side transaction advisory including carve-out financial statement preparation and financial due diligence. Tyler also spent several years in EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice, where he advised clients on accounting and financial reporting topics ranging from transactions to accounting change. Prior to EY, Tyler completed a one-year assistantship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, where he assisted with the standard-setting process for U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Tyler is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned his BBA and Master of Accounting degrees. Tyler holds a Certified Public Accountant license in Ohio and North Carolina.

Collaborative – We have a talented group of professionals with a variety of backgrounds and do a great job of walking the halls to pull in the subject matter expert on any issue that comes up on a deal to make sure we turn over every stone and reach the best possible outcome for our clients.
Innovative – We don’t settle for status quo but are constantly working to identify new solutions and iterate on old ones to improve efficiency and outcomes for our clients.
One-size-fits-one (cheating on the word count) – Successful outcomes for our clients are our #1 priority, and we don’t define success the same way on every transaction. We differentiate ourselves by investing time and energy upfront to understand each specific client’s goals, and designing a transaction structure that achieves them.
